LPL – Lankan Premier League

The Lankan Premier League(LPL) is a professional Twenty20 cricket league in Sri Lanka. It was founded in 2018 and is currently in its third season. The league consists of five teams representing different regions of the country: Colombo Kings, Dambulla Viiking, Galle Gladiators, Jaffna Stallions, and Kandy Tuskers.

Each team plays each other twice during the league stage, with the top four teams advancing to the playoffs. The playoffs consist of two semi-finals and a final. With the winner being crowned the champion of the (LPL) Lankan Premier League.

The league has attracted top talent from around the world, with international players such as Chris Gayle, Lasith Malinga, and Shahid Afridi playing for various teams. Local Sri Lankan players, such as Angelo Mathews and Dinesh Chandimal, have also participated in the league.
