If you’re a fan of drama that mixes crime, comedy, thriller and romance, Vincenzo is for you.
Vincenzo Cassano
Vincenzo Cassano was born in South Korea and later adopted by the Italian mafia. He became a lawyer and served as a trusted legal advisor to a mafia family. After his adoptive father’s death, he returned to South Korea. He aimed to retrieve gold hidden in Geumga Plaza by the Chinese mafia. The Geumga Plaza was now controlled by a corrupt company called Babel Group.
Vincenzo Cassano (Song Joong-ki)
Song Joong-ki plays Vincenzo in one of his best roles. He brings a calm presence, a subtle sense of humor, and a stylish personality that make him both dangerous and lovable. He is an anti-hero who doesn’t rely on physical fights; his greatest weapon is his intelligence. Before filming, Song Joong-ki reportedly spent months studying Italian dialogue and mafia culture to make his role feel real. His effortless Italian accent and confident gestures on screen result from thorough preparation, which is evident. This attention to detail helped Vincenzo feel like an international production rather than a typical local drama.
Hong Cha-young (Jeon Yeo-been)
Jeon Yeo-been portrays Hong Cha-young, a fiery and outspoken lawyer who initially works for Babel Group. After witnessing the corruption and cruelty of the system she once defended, she teams up with Vincenzo. Together, they become an unstoppable duo, blending chaos, humor, and emotional depth. Hong Cha-young’s bold humor and moral growth balance Vincenzo darkness. Her chemistry with Song Joong-ki is remarkable.
Jang Jun-woo (TAECYEON)
Ok Taec-yeon plays Jang Jun-woo; he is a sweet, clueless intern. After a surprising twist reveals that he’s actually Jang Han-seo, the real chairman of Babel Group and the main villain. Jun-woo are charming yet frightening, unpredictable yet smart. Taec-yeon change from goofy assistant to cruel mastermind is one of the biggest surprises in K-drama history. He not only scares but also entertains with his madness.
Jang Han-seo (Kwak Dong-yeon)
Kwak Dong-yeon plays Jang Han-seo, Jun-woo’s half-brother and a puppet CEO who his brother uses to represent the Babel Empire. Han-seo seems arrogant, childish, and weak, but his character hides a tragic truth. He is a lifelong victim of abuse and fear, manipulated into doing terrible things that he doesn’t truly understand. Vincenzo’s trust and compassion transform Han-seo into a loyal ally. His journey from a hopeless follower to a brave individual who finally stands up for what is right. Han-seo becomes a symbol of salvation, proving that even those born into darkness can choose the light.
