About Ben Curran

One of the three Curran brothers - the English all-rounders Tom and Sam being the other two, Ben Curran decided to follow the footsteps of his father, Kevin Curran, and represent Zimbabwe. Born in Northampton, Ben started his cricketing career with Northamptonshire. After a successful run in the 2nd XI, he was handed a T20 debut during the 2018 T20 Blast. First-class and List-A debuts followed shortly in the same season but three years later, in 2022, Curran found himself cut loose and without a contract after a prolonged period of poor returns. He then decided to move down to Zimbabwe and within just a couple of years, he was making his international debut against Afghanistan in late 2024. A hard-hitting southpaw who bats at the top of the order, Curran’s flair and ability to put the opposition under pressure by scoring quickly caught everybody’s attention.
